Riverbed Technology (RVBD) makes products that connect computers in wide-area networks, which can include users in various locations. Following triple-digit sales growth from 2005 to 2007, Riverbed’s revenues grew just 18 percent in 2009. Growth has accelerated again in 2010, with sales up 45 percent year-over-year in the quarter that ended Sept. 30.
“Riverbed remained the dominant player in the APAC WAN optimization market in 2010, extending its market share lead in the WAN acceleration category significantly over the other market players,” said Cathy Huang, industry analyst at Frost & Sullivan.
Microsoft also announced it is expanding its Partners in Learning for Educators program with redesigned curriculum and professional development resources, ranging from fundamental use of technology to in-depth, research-based methodologies for increasing student mastery of 21st-century skills.
